Thanks, hopefully I can find some time to finish these a bit further to try and fully realize this new approach.

Hey these are amazing. I'm a big time fan of yours, and I hope to go to Art Center after I graduate next year, possibly after spending a year or 2 learning to paint and do figure drawing. Keep up the good work!

Happy New Years Scott (it's still January). These are great, I like the simplicity and excellent use of values. Did you use Alchemy for any of these?

Thanks Guys.
Thomas, hope to see at school someday.
Matt, no Alchemy with these. I used primarily the "cut out" filter in Photoshop to simplify a series of "wallscape" photos I took. At this point they would be fun to take into Alchemy to sketch over the top over. I should give that a try.

The cut out filter technique you used on your sketches in the Alien Race book was pretty cool and created some interesting angular shapes. Now I can see the similar technique here. Looks like a good way to get some unexpected results to paint over.

Scott, where can we see more of this cut-out filter tech? I'd be interested to watch your process. Do you have any tech posted online? Thanks.

Matt, yeah the happy accidents abound with this filter. Good to try it a couple of times on the same image and even layers variations on top of each other.

Astro1derboy, sorry no demos yet. I'm trying to find a good way to share quick video demos. You tube versus Vimeo versus others. Hope to have a path figured out by June.
